This party princess is being shipped to Australia – and she’s not happy about it… 

The black sheep of a fictional British royal family, Princess Georgiana, is forced to move to dreaded Australia to become their queen.

Catherine Tate stars as Princess Georgiana, a disgraced British royal banished to live and rule in Australia. Brought down by the tabloid press for her party-hard lifestyle and dragged kicking and screaming to her new antipodean kingdom, the sitcom sees Georgiana and her royal staff struggle to adapt to new life Down Under. A series of gaffes, confusions, and cringe-inducing moments ensues in this new BBC comedy, co-written by Tate and Jeff Gutheim.

The Messenger

The intriguing tale based on Markus Zusak’s best-selling novel of the same name, produced by Jason Stephens and Elisa Argenzio, stars a talented young cast including William McKenna (Nowhere Boys), Alexandra Jensen (Frayed, Amazing Grace), Chris Alosio (Troppo) and Kartanya Maynard (Deadloch).

Author and Executive Producer, Markus Zusak says: “I’m so excited to see this series on the ABC, and I think it’s something we can see ourselves in – our friendships and families, our laughter and flaws, and our willingness to see each other through, especially in the hard times. It’s got a big and beautiful heart. I can’t wait for people to see it.”

The Messenger tells the story of Ed Kennedy (William McKenna), who becomes an accidental hero when he receives mysterious messages scribbled on a playing cards that set him on a strange journey. But what he does with them allows Ed to change lives, most of all, his own.

Sometimes you just have to play the cards you’re dealt.

But life down under isn’t exactly the idyllic dream the new arrivals have been promised. Struggling with their new identity as immigrants, we follow their triumphs and pitfalls as they adapt to a new life in a new country far from Britain and familiarity.

In this darling new work these three unique women will stop at nothing to right wrongs done and pave a new path in this farce dramatic comedy.
